1.) Does it cost less than $10 a liter?
Making olive oil is expensive and real quality comes from the first cold press of olives. If it is less then $10 the company is either losing money or cutting olive oil with other vegetable oils or lower quality oil.
2.) Does it look and taste like real olive oil?
Olive oil is lime green in its youth and mellows out to a dark yellow as it ages. A simple taste test to know if you are getting quality is the "cough test." If it's not sweet on the front of the pallet and peppery enough on the back of the pallet make you cough a little it's probably not real olive oil.
3.) Does the company have a history of olive oil fraud?
